who we are
We are a Non-Profit group of volunteers who have brought the Christmas story in bethlehem to the community for MANY years. While we represent many different churches and denominations from the San Marcos area, we all share a passion for our mission - to tell the story of Christ in a real and meaningful way.
Our Mission
The mission of A Night in Old Bethlehem invites the community to discover the birth of Christ as they explore the town of Bethlehem.
A Night in Old Bethlehem is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that brings the community together to create a live Nativity in the town of Bethlehem as part of the annual Sights and Sounds of Christmas celebration in San Marcos, Texas the first two weeks of December. What to expect
Follow the star into the town of Bethlehem and discover the Christ child lying in a manger, surrounded shepherds and wise men as the camel and donkey look on and angels keep watch. Hear The Christmas Story and discover the hope inspired by the birth of Christ. Children learn about life in the old city with visits to FREE craft stations to make a drip candle, a leather craft, and a pinch pot. Visit The King’s Tent to receive words of encouragement and prayer, interact with an angel or Roman soldier, and enjoy a turkey leg and curly fries in the food booth.
